HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF KPOP WHERE KPOP IDOLS MESS YOU UP MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY!!

It is my mission to convert as much people to the kpop world as possible so ARE YOU READY?!?!?! *Are You Ready by B.I.G. starts playing.* 준비됐나요

This is a link to a playlist of some kpop songs, but there will be specific song recommendation below.
What is Kpop?
Kpop is Korean music!! Kpop is not just pop music. Kpop covers pop, Electro-pop, hip-hop, R&B, and etc. Not. All. Kpop. Is. Bubbly! There are some kpop songs that are explicit or have dirty music videos! You just have to find it! Trust me. Also, there is more kpop then Gangam Style! There are so many types of kpop.
How do people become Kpop idols?
Usually the first thing that happens is the casting and getting scouted. There's two ways this happens. A person either pass all the auditions or get street casted. Street Casting is exactly what it sounds like. When a person who works with the company, sees a person who they believe has what it takes to be an idol, they cast them. Then they train for a while and the company decides whether it's worth continuing the training or not. For the auditioning, the person auditions for a specific skill such as singing or dancing. Once they are accepted in, they start training. Either way they get in, they start training.
During training, they train for things like singing, dancing, modeling, languages, and etc. They practice modeling because even before they start releasing music videos, they release teaser pictures. They practice languages because either A. the person doesn't speak Korean, or B. the group will be a multi-language producing group. Some idols train for years before they actually debut.
What happens during the eras?
Chaos. Complete organized chaos. Before I start, the era is the time frame starting with teaser pictures/videos, to the end of promotions and such. First thing that comes is the teaser pictures and videos to get the fans hyped up about the music videos and such. Then the music video comes out and everything goes crazy. FANGIRLING EVERYWHERE. Usually the first performance is on the day of or a few days of the time the music video comes out. Then within about a week they release a dance version of the music video and probably the next few days they release a dance practice. They might even release multiple versions of the dance practice. *Cough* Seventeen *Cough*. Then they do more performances and such and then their last promotion stage comes. Then that era is over.
Things that are Normal in Korea but not really in America.
1. Picking a bias. It's actually encouraged because when selling merchandise, they sell things like postcards for specific members.
2. So. Many. Names. They have their stage name, their real name, their nickname, and etc. They might even have multiple nicknames.
3. So. Many. Members. Members range from 4 - 15. Maybe even more!!
4. FANSERVICE. SO MUCH MORE FANSERVICE. It might not be weird. I don't know what's "Normal" nowadays.
5. Idols train to become famous. They sometimes train for many years.
6. Feminine guys and masculine girls. (Mostly guys) Well I don't want to say masculine girls or feminine guys but how about neutral sex looking. So feminine that they look like girls but so masculine they look like guys.

7. Makeup on guys. It's not weird. It's 2016. Common guys. Stop being so butt hurt to something that doesn't even affect you.

Baekhyun from exo = Eyeliner king
8. Crazily dyed hair. So many idols dye and bleach their hair, that you can't rely on hair color to identify people.

Sehun (AKA Sebooty) from EXO = Mr. "This was a prank. I didn't want this hair."
9. There. Is. So. Much. Hype. The amount of teasers that is put out for a music video (OR EVEN THE DEBUT) is sometimes so ridiculous!
